Statistics show Orleans led the way with over 23,000 early voters followed by East Baton Rouge Parish with over 22,000 participating.

According to a new poll, Congressman Vance McAllister could be in trouble in the 5th District race as Republican Zach Dasher improves his number. Pollster Darrell Glascock believes Ralph Abraham will get a runoff spot and if Democratic Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo can get Democrats and minorities out to the polls, then he’s got the second spot…:

State Police say a man from Robert died in an accident last night in Tangipahoa Parish. They say 44-year-old Bobby Creekmore Jr ran off Highway 190 and struck a culvert. He was not restrained and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
