LSU Health New Orleans has unveiled a plan to reduce cancer deaths in Louisiana over the next five years. Director of the Louisiana Cancer Prevention and Control program, Donna Williams, says since most cancers can be prevented or detected early, it’s important to make sure individuals are getting screened for this deadly disease….

Williams says Louisiana is currently ranked 4th in the nation for deaths from cancer.

President Donald Trump says a new sugar trade agreement with Mexico is “a very good one for both Mexico and the U.S.” General Manager of the American Sugarcane League Jim Simon (See-moan) says the U.S. brought a trade case against Mexico because they flooded our market with subsidized sugar….

It’s an extremely rainy day across south Louisiana. About three inches has fallen in the Lake Charles. Carencro Police chief David Anderson has told KATC-TV that people are being rescued from their homes because of high water and the state department of transportation says there are road closures in St. Martin Parish.
