State Police say a two-vehicle accident in Livingston Parish has claimed the life of a Walker woman. Authorities say 31-year-old Sylena McNeil was driving on Highway 1025 when she left the roadway, over corrected, and crossed the center line causing a truck to strike her vehicle. McNeil was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck, a 16-year-old juvenile, is hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Tonight is the final televised US Senate debate before the November 4th election. LSU Political Science Professor Robert Hogan says it will be interesting to see whether or not retired Air Force Colonel Rob Maness will use this debate to differentiate himself from fellow Republican candidate Congressman Bill Cassidy. He thinks Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu will be aggressive towards Cassidy and Cassidy will keep tying Landrieu to Democratic policies and President Obama…
