The Republican Senate healthcare bill has the Edwards administration very concerned about the future of healthcare in Louisiana. State Health Secretary Dr. Rebekah Gee says if passed as is, the plan would result in up to 500,000 Louisianans losing their insurance…:

New Orleans Police say one suspect has surrendered and detectives have learned the identities of the other three in the vicious beating and robbery of two tourists in the French Quarter. He’s 21-year-old Dejuan Paul. NOPD wants the others to surrender before cops come arrest them.
