With little discussion and no objections, the LSU board has approved an increase in student fees. Across the board, fees would go up 2% starting in the fall — which would amount to about $270 more per semester that is not covered by TOPS.

Five people are behind bars and another is dead following a shooting in Denham Springs. Deputies reportedly had to swim across high waters to detain the remaining subject. It’s believed the shooting was drug related.
