Heavy rain is a major concern as potential tropical cyclone three continues to develop and move towards Louisiana. Nearly all of the state’s coastline is under a tropical storm warning and southeast Louisiana is under a flash flood watch as four to nine inches of rain is possible from Lafayette to Slidell, down to Houma.

The 10th annual Louisiana Seafood Cook-off is tonight at the Cajundome in Lafayette as the best chefs in the state will compete for the title of King or Queen of Louisiana seafood. Usually the event takes place in New Orleans, but Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser moved it to Lafayette to help their economy, which has struggled because of the downturn in the oil and gas industry….
