He says the young child, Naveah Pierson of Gray, was not restrained at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s office says a Prairieville man is under arrest for allegedly ramming a vehicle over and over while his wife and another male victim were inside. Major Ward Webb says 33-year-old Gerald Asay saw his wife in a car another man was driving and got upset

He says at least 6 people were injured in the crash. Asay faces multiple charges including two counts of attempted murder.

Coach Les Miles lost his 91-year-old mother on Friday night then about 24 hours later he was awarded the game ball by his team after LSU stunned the 3rd ranked team in the nation on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. The Bayou Bengals are now No. 16 in the latest AP poll and NO. 17 in the Coaches poll. Miles has time to grieve as the team is off this weekend before their November 8th home game against Alabama.
