ULM Political Science Professor Joshua Stockley says, in the 5th District, it’s becoming more clear that the front-runners could be Congressman Vance McAllister and Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo.

Polls still show a considerable amount of undecided voters as election day approaches. Political analyst Bernie Pinsonat says in the final week of the campaign, candidates, especially in the US Senate race, will begin talking more about themselves and why you should vote for them…

Pinsonat says if voters are undecided this late in the campaign, they are not likely to vote.

This year’s soybean harvest is one of the state’s best, according to farmers. LSU AgCenter Soybean Specialist, Ron Levy, says several growers in north Louisiana are reporting 80 bushels an acre, while some in northeast Louisiana have broken the 100 bushel mark. Levy says this crop is not only a tribute to the producers hard work, but it is also important to the economy of the state…
