A 7-year-old boy was accidentally shot at a Calcasieu Parish school this morning, according to police. There are few other details at this time but authorities say the child was taken to a hospital where his injuries are not known. No other students were injured.

The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after a body was discovered. Chief of Detectives Joe Chaney says someone came in to report what appeared to be a shallow grave in a wooded area..:
