When Alex Lange is on top of his game, LSU is tough to beat. The junior right-hander threw a complete game shutout last night as the Bayou Bengals blanked the Auburn Tigers four to nothing. Lange struck out nine and allowed only one runner past second base all night.
All the scoring happened in the first two innings, as LSU scored three in the first and one more in the second. Antoine Duplantis and Nick Coomes each had two hits and Kramer Robertson scored twice. Game two is tonight is at 7 Pm.

Parkway quarterback Justin Rogers lists LSU, TCU and North Carolina as his top three schools. Rogers plans to announce his verbal commitment on May 31st. According to rivals-dot-com, TCU is the front-runner.
Louisiana Tech has landed a commitment from West Feliciana athlete Davon “Smoke” Harris. He’s five-foot-six, 170 pounds and also had an offer from Tulane.
At the state baseball tournament, the big upset happened in Class 3A as fifth seeded Iowa advanced to the title game by blanking top seeded Brusly 12 to 0. Iowa will face South Beauregard in Saturday’s title game.
