With two weeks to go before the legislative session, Governor John Bel Edwards has yet to roll out his tax reform plans. LaPolitics.com publisher Jeremy Alford says many were surprised when they recently learned the governor is moving away from the idea of tweaking the individual income tax. He says the Administration is moving towards something completely different..:

The governor’s spokesperson says that Edwards is postponing the release of his tax plan to the public until Wednesday when he has more information from the state’s revenue secretary.

An Avoyelles Parish jury found former Marksville City Marshal, Derrick Stafford, guilty of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old boy and the injuring of his father. Legal analyst Tim Meche….:

Stafford will be sentenced on March 31st.

Today the first direct flight from New Orleans to London takes off out of the Louis Armstrong Airport. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser will be aboard the British Airways flight and says now that this is available, it opens up the doors for international tourism to Louisiana…:
