The Fighting Tigers of LSU are back in Death Valley tomorrow night as they host the Kentucky Wildcats. The purple and gold are coming off an exciting win at Florida and will be looking to keep that momentum going into Saturday’s game. Tiger Rag Editor Robert Stewart thinks LSU should come out on top because it is a home game that will be filled with excited Tiger fans, but since the Bayou Bengals have struggled so much on defense it will probably be a closer game than many people think. Leonard Fournette is coming off his best game of the season and Stewart says you can expect another nice performance out of the running back…:

The Kentucky game begins a three game home-stand with Ole Miss coming in next weekend then Alabama on November 8th.

UL-Lafayette wide receiver Jamal Robinson will miss the remainder of the season after having foot surgery. Robinson injured his foot in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s win over Texas State when a defender rolled over his ankle.

The marquee matchup this Saturday in the Southland Conference will take place at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond. Southeastern Louisiana will host Central Arkansas. Both teams come into this matchup undefeated in conference play.

Elsewhere in the Southland, McNeese State will host Abeline Christian, Lamar travels to Thibodaux to take on Nicholls State, and Northwestern State will play host to Sam Houston.

Anthony Davis poured in 28 points last night as the Pelicans cruised past the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-86 in the Smoothie King Center. Tyreke Evans, seeing his first action this preseason, added 10 points, seven assists, and four rebounds in 20 minutes of action. The Pels improve their preseason record to 3-and-2.

The Major League Baseball World Series is now set. The San Franscisco Giants’ Travis Ishikawa’s walk-off home run lifted his team over the St. Louis Cardinals to win the National League Pennant. The Giants will face American League Champion Kansas City Royals in the World Series. Game 1 is Tuesday.
