With the storm from Monday, many power outages were reported because of the high winds. Point Coupee Parish had over 5 thousand people without power, along with some 11 thousand customers in New Orleans. An estimated 22 thousand people in Ouachita Parish were in the dark. Governor Bobby Jindal was in Monroe today to survery the damage.
