A Vernon Parish man is believed to have shot his aunt and another man before turning the gun on himself according to authorities. Vernon Sheriff Sam Craft said it was determined that, for unknown reasons, Derrick Ross died from a self-inflicted gunshot would after he killed the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
