Saints Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns in New Orleans’ 48-41 win over the Cardinals. The future Hall of Famer says the whole team played well in this one…

Brees silenced the naysayers who started to wonder if he’s done playing at a high level. The previous two games, Brees was intercepted six times and did not throw a touchdown.
There’s once again speculation about Coach Sean Payton’s future with the Saints. A CBS-sports report says the Saints would be interested in trading Payton in the offseason and would not demand a lot in return. There’s already two coaching vacancies open in the NFL, as the Rams and Jaguars are looking for new head coaches.
The state’s top quarterback, Lowell Narcisse, has re-committed to LSU. The St. James star was also serioulsy considering Auburn, but made the decision to attend LSU after speaking with new offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Narcisse will graduate in December and should be on LSU’s campus next month.
LSU running back Leonard Fournette, who has decided not to play in the Citrus Bowl, has signed with Jay Z’s sports agency, Roc Nation.
The loss to Southern Miss in the New Orleans Bowl gives UL Lafayette a 6-7 record for the 2016 campaign, their second straight losing season. But Coach Mark Hudspeth says he’s optimistic about 2017 as they have a bunch of returning starters coming back on offense and defense…
