Doctors at a rehabilitation facility say wounded East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputy Nick Tullier has made progress during his time in Houston and is now fully conscious. Employees at the T-I-R-R Memoral Hermann also say Deputy Tullier can write his initials, strum a guitar and understand commands. But his recovery still has a long way to go. Tullier was one of six offiers shot last July.

Louisiana has one of the biggest wage gaps between its richest and poorest residents, according to a report.

A report by Bankrate.com finds Louisiana is the fourth worst state for drivers. Spokesperson Claes Bell says the survey looked at a broad range of data to determine the ranking, like Louisiana being 49th in the nation for insurance cost…:

State Police say a West Carroll Parish woman has been arrested in the shooting death of her husband. A television report says the victim was killed a day after his birthday. Senior Trooper Michael Reichardt says they responded to a call of a shooting in Epps shortly after midnight Tuesday…:
