A Baton Rouge college student has been arrested for allegedly murdering and dismembering his parents at their home in Tennessee over the Thanksgiving weekend. Knox County Sheriff Maj. Michael Maclean says 29-year-old Joel Michael Guy Jr. viciously stabbed his parents several times before putting their body parts in acid in an attempt to cover up the crime. Guy was arrested at his apartment in Baton Rouge, but it’s unclear which school he was attending.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case of a 51-year-old Air force Veteran who is accused of raping several foster children in his care. Michelle Southern reports..:

The Feral Hog Management Task Force met today to discuss ways to control Louisiana’s wild hog population. Dr. Jim LaCour with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says the current control methods aren’t working, and the taskforce is discussing better ways to reduce the hog population.

LaCour estimates there are up to 700-thousand feral hogs in Louisiana.

The 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season comes to an end today, after 5 named storms made landfall in the US. NOAA lead hurricane forecaster Gerry Bell says the storms formed over the tropical Atlantic, which is why the Gulf was spared for part of the year.
