LSU will reportedly name Ed Orgeron as its new head football coach during a noon press conference today. Orgeron took over the fired Les Miles in September and guided the Tigers to a 5-2 record while at the helm. Orgeron met with LSU athletics director Joe Alleva on Friday, following the Tigers big win over Texas A&M.

This Saturday’s Powerball jackpot drawing has jumped to a whopping 403 million dollars. Louisiana Lottery Spokesperson Kim Chopin says this is the 9th largest jackpot in Powerball history.

Chopin expects a lot of people will be buying tickets for Saturday’s drawing because they’re already out holiday shopping. She adds this is the second year in a row we’ve seen a huge Powerball jackpot during the holiday season.
