Governor Bobby Jindal is traveling the country again and today he gave a speech calling for increased funding for the US military. Jindal spoke at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. He says we need to go back to the 2011 budget proposed by former defense Secretary Robert Gates…:

The Louisiana Democratic Party is criticizing Jindal for being more concerned about issues that don’t affect taxpayers here.
The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says they’ve put a woman behind bars for allegedly trying to put puppies in a gas station dumpster. They say the puppies were rescued and returned to their owner and 31-year-old Christine Lasyone charged with three counts of cruelty to animals, resisting arrest and battery of an officer.
There’s another survey out by CBS News and the New York Times showing Republican Congressman Bill Cassidy leading incumbent US Senator Mary Landrieu by six percentage points…:

Covington Police have arrested two 14-year-old’s for allegedly calling 9-1-1 to falsely report someone was shooting up the school and requesting fried chicken and kool-aid be brought to William Pitcher Junior High. The alleged incident took place on the school bus and investigators traced the call to the teens. The charges include terrorizing, misuse of 911 and telephone harassment.
