LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva has sent a letter to Tiger fans that outlines what he’s looking for in a new head football coach. Tiger Rag associate editor James Moran says Alleva could be trying to put to rest misinformation that’s circulating. He believes this also points to the fact that a resolution is coming soon. The letter says Alleva is looking for an accomplished leader who’s able to adapt to changes in college football.
Governor John Bel Edwards has delayed a vote on a proposed $13 million cut to higher education, at the request of lawmakers. New Orleans Senator JP Morrel says by putting this cut off until December, the ball is now in the legislature’s court.

Entergy will build a new $869 million plant in St. Charles Parish, as the Public Service Commission has just approved the company’s request. Entergy spokesperson Michael Burns says the power will be used throughout southeast Louisiana and meet the increased demand along the Mississippi River.

The plant is expected to be up and running by June of 2019.
The Louisiana Holiday Trail of Lights gets underway this weekend across north Louisiana. Executive Director of the Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau, Lynn Dorsey, says there are different festivals being held in Alexandria-Pineville, Monroe-West Monroe, Shreveport-Bossier, Minden and Natchitoches.
