LSU AD Joe Alleva has sent a letter on the hiring of a new head football coach. It outlined general qualities in a person such as requirements like being a good leader and recruiter. LSU Tiger Rag Associate editor James Moran says Alleva’s final note is that the hire must be an accomplished leader of young men, and the first instinct would be to think that these qualities sound like Interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron.:

He says in one week the full blown search for a new coach will be on as LSU’s regular season will be officially over.
Governor John Bel Edwards has delayed budget cuts for another month as lawmakers continue to think of ways to spare higher education from any more of the chops. In the plan to close the $313 million dollar hole, $18 million in cuts went to higher ed, but legislators asked the Administration to consider balancing the budget a different way.
