Major endorsements were announced today for the state’s runoff elections including Congressman John Fleming supporting Republican Mike Johnson for the seat he is vacating. Political Analyst Bernie Pinsonat isn’t surprised Fleming endorsed the GOP state representative since Johnson faces Democrat Marshall Jones in the runoff.

Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry endorsed State Treasurer John Kennedy for U.S. Senate.

Law enforcement is spreading awareness of the state’s Move Over law during the National Move Over Campaign. Louisiana Master Trooper Scott Moreau says this law protects first responders working on the side of the road. He says it’s a very simple law telling drivers to move over if someone is working on the shoulder.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Charlie Melancon has ordered an internal review of the agency after an audit discovered questionable spending under the previous administration. He says they’re going to use the audit to see if policies need to be changed.
