In response to an audit’s findings, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Charlie Melancon says he’s ordered a complete internal review of his agency:

Letters are being sent out today to TOPS recipients in the state to remind them of the changes in the scholarship program next semester. Students will be responsible for paying nearly 60-percent of their tuition come January. This decision was made during the most recent legislative session as a way to help offset the state’s massive budget deficit.
Key endorsements were announced today in thestate’s runoff elections. Attorney General Jeff Landry came out to publicly support State Treasurer John Kennedy for U.S. Senate and Congressman John Fleming has endorsed Republican Mike Johnson for the seat he is vacating. Political Analyst Bernie Pinsonat says it’s unlikely any Republican will have trouble raising money for the December 10th election.

A recent statewide poll finds LSU fans are very happy with Tigers interim head coach Ed Orgeron’s performance. The survey was commissioned by LSU Law graduate Parker Layrisson of Ponchatoula who says he’s heard both sides of the discussion.

Layrisson says the poll was conducted before LSU’s win to Arkansas and has heard of more people jumping on the Coach O bandwagon.
