Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Charlie Melancon says he’s ordered a complete internal review of his agency after an audit found questionable spending, among other things, under the previous administration. He said mismanagement of LDWF money or property will not be tolerated and they are looking into the audit’s findings to be sure this doesn’t happen in the future…:

Law enforcement is raising awareness about Louisiana’s “move over” law this week during the National Move Over Campaign. Move Over America reports that every state has a move over law, but Louisiana Master Trooper Scott Moreau says ten officers were killed in crashes on the side of state roadways last year. He says drivers should move over for everyone, not just emergency responders…:

The man accused of killing a Raising Cane’s store manager pleaded not guilty today in Jefferson Parish. 24-year-old Joshua Every is charged with first degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the brutal killing of Taylor Friloux at the establishment where she was working in Kenner. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for Every.
