The LSU-Alabama game is still over a week and a half away and the hype is building. Tigers running back Leonard Fournette appeared on SEC Now with Peter Burns and played a game of “fact or fiction.” Leonard was asked if LSU will beat Alabama this year and Fournette said fact.

And Michael Casagrande of the Birmingham News, Press-Register and Huntsville Times, says he’s been verbally threatened on twitter by a reverend after he suggested that LSU has a chance to beat the Crimson Tide on November fifth.

There are signs that Saints cornerback Delvin Breaux is getting closer to returning to action. Breaux broke his fibula in the season opener and since then he’s been drinking a lot of milk in the hopes returning sooner than later. Breaux says he tested his leg out during defensive back drills and is waiting for the team’s medical staff to allow him to return to practice on a full-time basis. New Orleans hosts Seattle this Sunday.

Louisiana Tech is getting ready to play Rice this Saturday at Joe Aillet Stadium. The Owls won their first game of the season last week as they defeated Prairie View A-and-M 65-44. Bulldogs Coach Skip Holtz says the Owls show a lot of different looks on offense and they snap the ball quick…

In the Southland, Southeastern Louisiana is 4-1 and in third place in the league. The Lions host Central Arkansas this Saturday. The Bears are 5-0 in league play. In the SWAC Western Division, Grambling and Southern are tied for first, with 4-0 records. Southern is at Alcorn this Saturday, while Grambling hosts Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
