A tragic fire in Vermilion Parish claimed the lives of two young children and the woman who was trying to save them. State Fire Marshal’s Office spokesman Brant Thompson says the blaze broke out just prior to 5am on Sunday. And that’s when the mother inside the residence awoke to the smell of smoke…:

He says a second adult and close family friend, 22-year-old Felicie Cloteaux, died while trying to save a 1 and 3 year old who all perished in the blaze.
