The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office says an arrest has been made in connection with the death of an 86-year-old man who was found dead in his own driveway Friday. They say 21-year-old Deandrew Pharagood turned himself in and is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Anthony Lirette. A motive has not been released at this time.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler is refuting statements made by Presidential candidate Donald Trump that voting machines are rigged in favor of Democrat Hillary Clinton. Schedler says he is confident that the Presidential election will go off without any major problems and they have protections in place to protect against voter fraud…:

He says it’s also not possible for Russians to hack and alter votes because the machines are not connected to the internet. He says Trump’s comments are irresponsible.
