Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne has been released from the hospital after he was admitted Saturday with what he called pressure in his chest. It’s unclear when the governor’s chief budget officer will return to work, but he says he’s taking his doctor’s advice and resting because there were blockages discovered in his heart.

The last day to register for the November 8th election is tomorrow. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Tom Schedler says some precincts were damaged in the August flood, and they will have to set up alternative polling locations. He says in Livingston parish, most precincts will be moved to a site at Juban Crossing.

Schedler says voters displaced by the flood will be able to vote in their regular precinct or by mail.

It’s not looking good for the LSU-Florida match up to happen this season. Athletic Director Joe Alleva says it’s been suggested the Tigers could play the Gators on November 19th, when LSU is scheduled to play South Alabama at home.
