Governor John Bel Edwards is holding a media briefing today at the airport in New Orleans when he arrives from Cuban to talk about his trip. In a statement, the governor’s office says the trade mission set the stage for greater economic and cultural exchanges between the Caribbean nation and Louisiana. The trip follows President Barack Obama’s decision in December 2014 to normalize relations with Cuba.
