LSU’s live mascot veterinarian announces Mike VI’s cancer has spread throughout his body, and they are only giving him one to two months to live. Dr David Baker says Mike has tumors in his legs, neck, and lungs and they are now blocking his sinus and tear ducts…:

He says when they perceive his condition has further declined, he will transition to his night house in essentially what is hospice care.

As far as the LSU game goes for this Saturday against the Gators, Florida officials say they have not changed the status of the 11am kickoff in Gainesville but they continue to monitor approaching Hurricane Matthew. They say another update will be given this afternoon after 4pm.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrests a woman accused of trying to kill her ex-boyfriend. They say 49-year-old Lisa Snowten allegedly broke into her ex’s house and attacked him before pointing a gun at him and shooting it — but it didn’t discharge. Cops say Snowten then went to the victim’s current girlfriend’s place of employment where she was apprehended and arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder and domestic abuse battery.
