Independent U.S. Senate candidate Troy Hebert has filed a lawsuit in an effort to have LPB and the Council for a Better Louisiana include more candidates in an October 18th televised debate. He says the system is rigged in favor of the five richest candidates…:

A 14-year-old girl in Bossier Parish has been arrested on charges of terrorizing for allegedly setting up a fake Instagram account and making the infamous clown threat. The Sheriff’s Office says it’s unfortunate that this worldwide creepy clown trend is spreading to this area but everyone should know that what you do on social media platforms is never private and matters like this are being taken very seriously.

Only one candidate for UL-System President has been submitted to the full board for consideration by the search committee. Northwestern State University President James Henderson will be considered for the position at a meeting on Thursday.

The first attack ad in the US Senate race is out and it’s been released by Republican Congressman Charles Boustany against GOP State Treasurer John Kennedy. Meanwhile Boustany has filed a lawsuit against the author of a book which made claims the congressman was involved with an escort in the Jefferson Davis Parish prostitute murders. Ethan Brown has said he stands by what he says in the book, “Murder in the Bayou.”
