Get ready for the first dash of gorgeous fall weather. State Climatologist Barry Keim says we normally see these cooler temperatures mid-September, but this year the brutal summer just didn’t want to end…:

Keim says by the end of the week, low temperatures will be in the 50s for most of the state.

The Louisiana GOP is accusing Governor John Bel Edwards of using the flood to raise campaign money in D.C. and score partisan points. They also claim Central Mayor Jr. Shelton had to go through a Congressman to get more flood relief supplies. But Richard Carbo with the governor’s office says that’s just one route Shelton chose to get assistance and there is no beef there:

Carbo says the governor has been very transparent about money and responsible with taxpayer funds.

Authorities in St. Tammany parish are asking for the public’s help in identifying a mutilated body that was dumped on Highway 90 near the Rigolets (RIG-@-lees). Police say the murder victim found in late July is believed to be a transient with ties to Biloxi. Coroner Dr. Charles Preston:
