LSU fans got a huge shock Sunday afternoon as they learned Head Coach Les Miles was terminated. The Mad Hatter had 114 wins, a BCS National Championship and two SEC championships over 12 years. Senior wide receiver Travin Dural of Breaux Bridge says he showed up to a 5:00 meeting yesterday and never thought he would be told that Miles was let go:

South LaFourche High School and Northwestern State grad, Ed Orgeron, takes over as the interim head coach. The Tigers are now 2-2 following a horrible loss to Auburn on Saturday night, and they join Notre Dame as preseason top-10 teams to fall out of the AP Top 25 poll.

The ACLU of Louisiana is reacting to reports about a man who was arrested in Lafayette and charged with “flag desecration.” Charri Mohama was booked for allegedly being shown on tape burning an American flag, and tearing up another. In a release, the ACLU of Louisiana says it is not a crime to destroy or damage the flag.

Health officials says it’s okay to swim and fish in the Bogue Chitto River again, after being warned to stay away since mid-September when a breach at a Mississippi sewage plant dumped 1.3 million gallons of storm water-diluted sewage into the water.
