Saints Coach Sean Payton said today it was an easy decision to place cornerback PJ Williams on injured reserve. Payton says a scan of Williams’ brain showed significant trauma and it’s one of the most severe concussions he’s seen. LSU football quarterback Brandon Harris received death threats following the Tiger’s devastating season opening loss to Wisconsin. Head coach Les Miles hopes the person writing these messages doesn’t really know what he is saying and will not act on the threats.

UL Lafayette is at Tulane on Saturday. Ragin Cajuns running back Elijah McGuire needs 212 yards to surpass Tyrell Fenroy as the Cajuns career leader in all-purpose yards. Fenroy had 5,231.
