The Saints and Quarterback Drew Brees have agreed to a new contract extension that provides the future Hall of Farmer with 44-million dollars in guaranteed money through the 2017 season. It’s considered a team friendly deal for the Saints as it frees up salary cap space. Brees also remains one of the highest paid players in the NFL and it gives the two sides a chance to agree to a new deal in 2018.

NOAA researchers say man made climate change contributed to the torrential flooding that killed 13 and damaged 150-thousand homes last month. State Climatologist Barry Keim did not participate in this report, but he says warmer sea surface temperatures is connected to global warming and warm Gulf waters helped strengthen the tropical wave that produced the unusual amount of rainfall….
