NOAA researchers say climate change may have contributed to the flooding in south Louisiana. Michelle Southern reports…

Four schools have been put on a fiscal watch list by a committee of the Louisiana Board of Regents because they are in poor financial health. The four schools are Southern University of New Orleans, LSU Health Sciences-Shreveport, Grambling State and Southern University at Shreveport. Leaders at the four schools have been asked to provide a corrective action plan by September 21st.

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans opened its first shop outside of the United States today as they now have a location in Vietnam. Chief Development Officer for Ballard Brands, P-J’s parent company, David Mesa, says they’ll continue to expand worldwide….

Mesa says they decided on a shop in Vietnam because of that country’s strong love for coffee.

LSU’s live mascot, Mike the Sixth, who is battling cancer, will not attend home football games this year. LSU School of Veterinary Medicine spokesperson Ginger Guttner says Mike remains in good spirits, after undergoing radiation treatment in June….

Guttner says Mike will receive another CT scan this fall and doctors will decide then, if he needs another round of radiation.
