There are over 400 new laws that go into effect today. Hunters can now wear “blaze pink.” Dancers in strib clubs must be over the age of 21. Fines for failing to wear a seat belt has doubled to 50-dollars. And convicted sex offenders are no longer able to do any kine of door-to-door business.

The LaFourche Parish Sheriff’s office says a mother fatally shot her young daughter, then shot herself in an apparent murder-suicide. Spokesperson Brennan Matherne says the little girl’s father discovered the horrific scene and called 9-1-1 just before noon on Sunday…
