Former LSU star shortstop Alex Bregman made his debut in the majors last night, playing third base for the Astros. He went 0-4 on the night in Houston’s 2-1 loss to the Yankees at Minute Maid Park, but he put on an incredible performance on defense. He was greeted with a standing ovation as he stepped into the batter’s box for the first time in the 2nd — and he later told reporters it was the most fun he’s ever had.
