At the scene where three Baton Rouge police officers were fatally shot, members of a saddened community are placing flowers and balloons to express their support for the fallen officers. Police Chaplin Bob Ossler of New Jersey put three crosses above the impromptu memorial for the officers who were killed and prayed with the people who came with flowers. He says police need more prayers…:

State Police believe the shooter, Gavin Long from Kansas City, planed the ambush. Major Doug Cain says they are trying to determine when Long came to Baton Rouge and if anyone had been in contact with him. They are asking for the public’s help…:

A Louisiana Senator is facing his second arrest for domestic abuse charges. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office says Senator Troy Brown was booked Sunday on charges stemming from allegations that he bit his wife on the arm during an altercation. Brown was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse.
