Amid protests over the fatal police shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, and Philando Castile of St. Paul, President Barack Obama says Americans should be deeply troubled. In what’s being called the deadliest day for police officers since 9/11, 5 cops in Dallas lost their lives at the hands of snipers during a peaceful protest over the deaths of Sterline and Castile. State Police say multiple threats to the Baton Rouge area circulating over the internet are being seen as a social media hoax and are determined to have originated from persons angry with the incidents. They say at this time, they have not identified any credible information to indicate that an attack will take place in our area.
