Louisiana will receive a 60-million dollar federal grant to improve traffic flow on Interstate 10. The grant will go towards expanding and improving I-10 between I-49 and the Atchafalaya Basin and state transportation secretary Shawn Wilson says this federal money will allow the state to use its own dollars to fix the I-10 east bottleneck in Baton Rouge near the Mississippi River Bridge…

Cell phone video of Tuesday morning’s fatal shooting by a Baton Rouge police officer has gone viral and it has sparked protests from individuals demanding justice. The video shows two Baton Rouge police officers on top of Alton Sterling and struggling with the 37-year-old man when one of the officers shouts he has a gun. That’s when Sterling was shot multiple times. A state lawmaker has described the shooting as a murder. The two officers have been placed on administrative leave.

Gas prices have fallen on average seven cents over the last month according to a Triple-A’s fuel gage survey. Triple-A spokesperson Mike Right says it’s possible we can see gas prices fall below two-dollars a gallon before the end of the summer…
