Tensions are high today near the area where a Baton Rouge police officer fatally shot a 37-year-old man following a struggle. Cell phone video shows two officers on top of Alton Sterling, when he was shot several times. Baton Rouge Representative Ted James has called the shooting a murder. The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.

Governor Edwards announces the state’s Economic Development department will take a comprehensive look at Louisiana’s film tax incentive program. With reports that movie industry jobs are fleeing to other states, LED Secretary Don Pierson says it’s time to see how they can help Hollywood South…

Changes were made to the state’s film tax incentive program in 2015 and since then movie production has declined in the bayou state.

Pro life groups are reacting to a lawsuit filed that seeks to block implementaiton of several laws that regulate abortions. The lawsuit challenges the state’s new 72 hour waiting period to get an abortion and the ban an abortion procedure commonly used in the second trimester. But Deanna Wallace with Louisiana Right to Life says these laws are common sense regulations…
