According to sources, two people have been arrested in the case of a missing Slidell man, Cordaryle Robert. His body was found yesterday in a drainage ditch in Harvey near Boomtown Casino. Jefferson Parish officials said his body showed signs of trauma and was found face down, partially submerged in a ditch.

An officer-involved shooting in Monroe left one suspect dead in the overnight hours. State Trooper Michael Reichardt says police responded to a domestic violence call just after midnight. He says the suspect opened the door brandishing a weapon and he was told many times to drop it…:

The Revenue Estimating Conference learned today that lawmakers raised $371 million dollars in revenue that can be used in the budget year that begins Friday. But Ron Henson with the State Treasurer’s Office says there are still concerns that Louisiana won’t be able to pay its bills until taxes are collected and it’s possible state government will have to borrow money…:

Henson says even with the work that the legislature did in the two special sessions, there are still major money problems ahead for next fiscal year.
