The LSU baseball team had another big weekend. LSU hosts Northwestern State on Tuesday and then number one ranked Florida travels to Baton Rouge to begin a three-game series on Thursday.
No. 21 UL-Lafayette defeated No. 23 South Alabama 6-3 to claim the team’s 8th straight series of the year and 11th of the season. The win moves the Ragin Cajuns two games back of the Jaguars for first place in the Sun Belt. They’ll host ULM in a three-game series starting Thursday. The SEC tournament champs LSU softball team learned last night that they are the 10th seeded team nationally and The Lady Tigers will play Long Island in the opening round of the NCAA tournament at the Baton Rouge regional Friday. Also in the regional at Tiger Park this weekend is McNeese State. The 14th seeded UL-Lafayette softball team will host in the regional round and play Boston U Friday.
