The Louisiana House has approved legislation that would prohibit a woman from having an abortion if doctors learn the fetus has a genetic abnormality. Baton Rouge Representative Rick Edmonds says he wants to protect the life of a fetus that is found to have a genetic abnormality….

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s office announces the arrest of a 15-year-old student, who allegedly wrote a threat on a desk. The female student from Hammond High Magnet School was taken to the Florida Parish Juvenile Detention center. Investigators have not released details about the threat.
