According to a report released Monday, Louisiana doesn’t have a policy for the way it should handle allegations of sexual assaults on college campuses and as a result students are more vulnerable to such incidents. New Orleans State Senator JP Morrell asked for the report and said legislation will likely be proposed that seeks to address this problem in the next legislative session.

State Farm says Louisiana has a growing problem of vehicles hitting deer in the road. Spokesman Gary Stephenson says there were over 9,700 vehicle-deer collisions in the Bayou State last year. He says this is a costly issue…:

State Farm calculated the chances of any single motorist in Louisiana striking a deer at 1 in every 299 drivers.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office says a couple from Bethany is under arrest for allegedly not reporting a serious injury to a 15-month-old girl for nearly two days. They say 27-year-old Jeffrey Noble claimed he fell asleep while the child was in his lap then he landed on top of the child. Investigators believe about 48 hours went by before they took the little girl to the hospital. Noble and 26-year-old Stephanie File-Malone were booked with cruelty to a juvenile.
