The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Bethany couple after they delayed seeking medical treatment for a toddler with a head injury. She says 27-year old Jeffrey Noble and 26-year-old Stephanie File-Malone were charged with cruelty to a juvenile because they didn’t seek medical attention for about 48 hours.
A hearing is scheduled today where a judge is expected to rule whether or not to issue an injunction against the enforcement of the last-minute retirement raise that legislators gave state police superintendent Mike Edmonson and another trooper. Baton Rouge Senator Dan Claitor filed a lawsuit challenging the change saying the process lawmakers used violates the constitution.
