The Storm Prediction Center says Tuesday’s tornado outbreak in Louisiana is one for the record books. The center has been able to confirm that 13 twisters hit that day, making it the most ever in Louisiana for a day in February. The strongest tornado killed two people at a RV park in St. James Parish.

 

State Police arrests a second officer assigned to a US Drug Enforcement Administration task force. State police spokesperson, Maj. Doug Cain says Karl Newman , a longtime deputy with the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s office, is suspected of stealing and selling drugs seized in raids. …:

Frank Selas, better known as former Monroe TV personality “Mr. Wonder,” has been indicted on allegations he sexually abused children decades ago. The alleged crimes took place on a camping trip when Selas was a Cub Scouts leader. Rapides Parish Assistant District Attorney Brian Mosley says Selas will be brought back to Louisiana to face the charges.
