The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former LSU football player for allegedly choking his girlfriend. 25-year-old DeAngelo Peterson was booked on one count of simple battery. Peterson was an LSU tight end from 2008-2011. Hicks says Peterson claims the victim grabbed a knife during the argument and that he grabbed her shirt in an attempt to disarm her.
In other LSU news….Tigers quarterback Anthony Jennings leads the nation in passing yards per attempt and completion. Jennings is averaging 26 yards per completition.
Ragin Cajuns Coach Mark Hudspeth believes senior receiver Jamal Robinson will play Saturday against 14th ranked Ole Miss. Robinson missed most of Saturday’s loss to Louisiana Tech with a leg injury.
