A Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputy was shot several times early Tuesday while executing a search warrant and remains in critical, but stable condition. Sheriff Newell Normand identified the deputy as 35-year-old Stephen Arnold, a 12 year JPSO veteran. Normand says Arnold was a task force narcotics agent and encountered the suspect inside the home around 6am.:

A children’s television personality in north Louisiana known as, “Mr. Wonder” who has been the target of a 37-year-old cold case involving criminal sexual conduct with juveniles has been taken into custody, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office. It’s alleged that in the late 70s, Frank Selas would invite kids between the ages of 5 and 11 to have camping weekends where the alleged sex acts took place. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office arrests a man after he allegedly stabbed his sexual partner during foreplay. The victim said 22-year-old Clarence Jay Williams was giving him a massage when Williams produced a knife and started stabbing him. When cops arrived on scene, they found both men nude and covered in blood. The victim is being treated from stab wounds to the neck. The investigation is ongoing.
